Her elder daughter, Kalyani Karlekar, was a notable social worker, professor of English literature, and author. Her younger daughter, Nalini Das (writer), was a distinguished educator, professor, principal, and children's literature writer. The famous social reformer Dwarkanath Ganguly was her maternal grandfather.
