A branch of the Kalyanaodai vaikal canal, originating from the Cauvery River, flows through its centre, providing irrigation for the surrounding paddy, coconut, and sugarcane farms. The village's location near irrigation canals and water storage areas, known as kavalam, further enhances its agricultural productivity.
