Early life

Pritam was born to Anuradha Chakraborty and Prabodh Chakraborty in a Bengali family. He gained his early training in music from his father who used to run a musical school and learned to play the guitar while he was in school. He went to St. James' School and has a bachelor's degree in geology from Presidency College.
