On November 7, 2019, it was announced that Sears would be closing as part of a plan to close 96 stores nationwide. The store closed on February 2, 2020. On January 1, 2024, Prescott Gateway Mall was renamed to its current moniker, Pine Ridge Marketplace, after ZL Prescott, LLC, the new and current owner of the mall, completed a $2.5 million renovation of the shopping center.
