Early life and education

Pilar Nouvilas i Garrigolas was born in Castelló d'Empúries. She was the daughter of Josep Anton Nouvilas i Prujulà and Maria Garrigolas i Suró. Her Nouvilas ancestors were Empordà landowners. During her youth, she lived in
