Before the 2020 reform, the raion consisted of four hromadas: * Bohdanivka rural hromada with the administration in Bohdanivka; * Mezhyrich rural hromada with the administration in Mezhyrich; * Troitske rural hromada with the administration in Troitske; * Verbky rural hromada with the administration in Verbky.
