According to the 2011 Census of India, Patharberia had a total population of 4,698, of which 2,459 (52%) were males and 2,239 (48%) were females. There were 424 persons in the age range of 0 to 6 years. The total number of literate persons in Patharberia was 3,544 (82.92% of the population over 6 years).
