PSDP; ) is a political entity advocating for social democracy and the independence of Pashtuns in Afghanistan and Pakistan. It was established in February 1981 by
Kabir Stori, an Afghan scholar educated in Germany and native of
Kunar. The PSDP is based on the nonviolent principles of
Khan Abdul Ghaffar Khan.
Since April 4, 2006,
Ali Khan Masood has been the incumbent chairperson of PSDP.
The party does not acknowledge the
Durand Line
