''Paprides'' is a genus of short-horned grasshoppers in the family Acrididae. There are at least two described species in ''Paprides'', found in New Zealand. Both species were moved to the genus ''Sigaus'' in 2023


Species

These species use to belong to the genus ''Paprides'': * ''Paprides dugdali, Sigaus dugdali'' (Bigelow, 1967). A grasshopper species found in tussock above 400 m above sea level in the southern half of South Island New Zealand. * ''Paprides nitidus, Sigaus nitidus'' (Hutton, 1898) An alpine grasshopper species restricted to the northern two thirds of South Island New Zealand. Females are larger than males. This species is sister to three species that were previously in the genus ''Brachaspis'' (''Sigaus collinus; S. nivalis'' and ''S. robustus'').
