Biography
After serving as a member of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, he became a candidate member of the party's politburo. In August 2012, he became vice chairman of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea. In May 2014, he became the responsible secretary of the party committee in Pyongannam-do. As a key executive in the organizational leadership of the Workers' Party of Korea, he is known as a key figure who actually moves the Democratic People's Republic of Korea. In 2021, he briefly disappeared from the official appearance of North Korea, and rumors of a purge were circulating.
