History

2024

Paetongtarn was elected by House of Representatives as prime minister on 16 August 2024 and received the appointment from the royal command the same day. The cabinet was officially sworn into office by King Rama X on 6 September 2024.

2025

On 18 June 2025, the Bhumjaithai Party announced its withdrawal from Thailand's ruling coalition government led by the Pheu Thai Party. This decision followed the leak of a phone conversation between Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra and former longtime Cambodian prime minister and current Senate president
