However, Lane and Ebert (2015) noted that ''Ophiopsis'' originally included ''O. muensteri'' only when first erected by Agassiz (1834), so they re-assigned ''procera'' and some ''Ophiopsis'' species to the new genus ''Ophiopsiella''.Lane, J.
