Career

In 1984, Äbdirov became an Adjunct at the All-Union Scientific Research Institute of the USSR Ministry of Internal Affairs. From 1987 to 1997, he was a lecturer, senior lecturer, associate professor, deputy Head of the Department of Criminal Law and Criminology of the Karaganda Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan. In July 1997, Äbdirov was appointed as a Secretary of the State Commission of Kazakhstan on Drug Control. In May 2000, he became Deputy Chairman of the Agency of Kazakhstan on Combating Drug Addiction and Drug Business and from January 2001, was Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Combating Drug Addiction and Drug Business of the Ministry of Justice. In September 2002, Äbdirov was appointed as state inspector of the Secretariat of the
