took refuge in the Alai mountains, but was taken prisoner and was executed. The population of Kokand then sent a delegation to Khodjend, where Nasrudin was, asking for his return. Nasrudin returned to Kokand as new Khan, but the Russians had already decided to dissolve and annex the Khanate.
