and the only one in Nanikai. Nanikai is located nearby to the Nanikai causeway, which is named after the village. In February of 2024, Nanikai launched community-based tourism known as Friends in Nanikaai (FIN). This was launched by the Tourism Authority of Kiribati in collaboration with the Environment and Conservation Division to Complement Fisheries Management Initiative.
