Holey Artisan attack

The rescue operation was ordered by the Bangladeshi Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and was named Operation Thunderbolt. The operation was led by 1st Para-Commando Battalion under the leadership of Operational Commander Brig Gen Mujibur Rahman. Nearly 12 hours after the attack, the operation was declared over by Mujibur Rahman. The operation ended with rescue of 13 hostages and 5 terrorists were killed while the 6th one was captured alive.


Promotion and Conclusion of Security Force Career

On 31 July 2018, he was promoted to Major General. He took over the command of SSF on 6 August 2018. Since then he resides at the

He is married to Mrs Tasrin Mujib. The couple has two sons and one daughter.

Forced Disappearance

According to reports by Sky News, Bangladesh's military intelligence established more than 800 torture camps known as Ayana Ghar when Mujibur Rahman was the director of Bangladesh's military intelligence, the DGFI. General Mujibur Rahman was involved in the disappearances and torture of thousands of civilians in Ayana Ghar.


Corruption

The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) uncovered a significant amount of undeclared wealth in the names of Mujibur and his wife Tasrin Mujib, including a 4,050 sq ft flat in Mirpur, 10 plots across Dhaka (Mirpur, Cantonment, Khilkhet, and Purbachal), another flat in Cantonment, a house in Purbachal, and land with a tin-shed house in Savar. Investigators also found 15 bank accounts linked to large transactions allegedly involving bribes and illegal income gained through abuse of power during Mujibur’s government service. The ACC has petitioned the court to seize the couple’s properties and freeze their bank accounts. Tasrin alone reportedly owns seven plots in Baunia mouza, including a seven-katha plot valued at over Tk 9.82 million, and a flat in Joar Sahara, while Mujibur holds multiple plots and flats in his name, including a seven-katha plot in Khilkhet and a Tk 18 million flat in Mirpur. According to the anti-corruption commission, Mujibur siphoned more than $2 million to
