It was announced that McCray has been promoted to a Defensive Analyst for the Michigan Wolverines for the 2019 season, while McCray was an intern during the 2018 season after retiring from football. He was hired by Notre Dame Fighting as graduate assistant for the 2020 season. In 2021 season,
