Michael Brian McCarthy (born June 20, 1968) is an American former road and track cyclist who was active between 1986 and 1998. On track, he won one gold and one bronze medals in the individual pursuit at the world championships in 1990 and 1992. He competed at the 1988 and 1996 Summer Olympics in the 4 km team pursuit and finished in ninth and sixth place, respectively. On the road, he won two stages of the
