In 2005, Mid-South sold the ''Williamson Daily News'', Williamson, West Virginia, and two affiliated weeklies to Heartland Publications. In 2006, ''Phenix Citizen, The Phenix Citizen'', Phenix City, Alabama, was sold to Family Media Inc.
