, MHA operates across England and Wales. It offers a comprehensive range of services including residential, nursing and dementia care homes, retirement living communities and community-based support. The charity also provides a nationwide befriending service to help alleviate the impact of loneliness and isolation for old people.


Services and reach

MHA currently supports more than 17,400 older people through its services, which include: The charity runs: *75 care homes offering residential, dementia and nursing, supporting approximately 4,000 residents. *59 retirement living communities, accommodating around 2,800 people with flexible and personalised support *43 community groups and digital services that reach approximately 11,000 older people living independently, aimed to reduce loneliness and social isolation. These services are delivered by around 7,000 staff and supported by 3,000 volunteers. All donations and surplus income are reinvested into improving and expanding MHA's services to help even more older people.


Knowledge support

As part of its commitment to supporting older people and their families, MHA also offers a Later Life Hub, an online knowledge resource providing practical advice and guidance on a range of topics. These include planning for retirement, caring for an ageing parent, and maintaining health and wellbeing.


Recognition and Impact
