Methika Jiranorraphat

Methika Jiranorraphat (; born 19 June 1999), formerly Ramida Jiranorraphat (), nicknamed Jane () or Janeyeh (), is a Thai-Taiwanese actress and singer. She is a former member of the girl group Sizzy under RISER MUSIC. Methika is best known for her leading roles in '' My Dear Loser: Edge of 17'' (2017), '' The Gifted'' (2018), ''Home School'' (2023), ''Beauty Newbie'' (2024), and
Mad Unicorn
' (2025).

Names

Methika was born in Bangkok, Thailand as Ramida Jiranorraphat. She's half Taiwanese and half Thai. In January 2025, XOXO Entertainment announced that Methika Jiranorraphat (Jane) will star in KNOMJEAN's music video for "แค่เอาคืน", alongside Supassara Thanachat (Kao). According to this announcement, Ramida confirmed that she has changed her legal name to Methika.

Her Chinese name originally was ''Ye Zhen'' (), but it was later changed to ''Ye Zhiyu'' ().

Education

Methika graduated from Sarasas Witaed Bangbon School by passing an equivalency test and enrolled directly into School of Communication Arts at the Bangkok University, obtaining her bachelor's degree in 2020.

Career

Methika began her journey in the entertainment industry after placing as the 2nd runner-up in the Miss Teen Thailand 2014 pageant. Prior to that, she had auditioned for major South Korean entertainment companies JYP Entertainment and YG Entertainment but was unsuccessful. She made her acting debut in the television series ''Love Sick Season 2'', followed by its spinoff, ''The School,'' and later appeared in '' Room Alone 2''.

From there, Methika steadily built her acting career with a variety of roles in television dramas. In 2016, she appeared as White in ''Part Time'', younger version of Kookai in '' Lovey Dovey'', and as Loma in '' U-Prince Series'' (2016–2017). In 2017, she played Kanomphing in ''Med in Love'' and made her film debut in the Chinese production, ''My Subject God,'' as Jiang Yue.

She gained recognition after portraying Peach in '' My Dear Loser: Edge of 17'' (2017) alongside Korapat Kirdpan and her ''Med in Love'' costar, Pronpiphat Pattanasettanon. That same year, she starred as Fah in '' Teenage Mom: The Series'' (2017), an adaptation of a popular Thai webtoon of the same name, alongside Perawat Sangpotirat. Then, she reprised her role as Peach in '' My Dear Loser: Happy Ever After''.

Her breakthrough role came in 2018 when she portrayed Claire, a synesthetic student in the Gifted Program, in the science fiction teen drama, ''The Gifted''. Her performance received critical acclaim and brought her both national and international recognition. She reprised the role in its sequel, '' The Gifted: Graduation'' (2020).

In 2019, she appeared in the series ''Wolf'' and in '' Love Beyond Frontier,'' a remake of the popular lakorn of the same name from 2008.'''' That year, she also debuted as a member of the girl group Sizzy (formerly SISSY) under GMMTV, which was active until its disbandment in October 2024.

In 2020, she played as Lin in '' Angel Beside Me'' alongside Krissanapoom Pibulsonggram. In the next year, she nominated for Best Actress in a Leading Role at The 26th Asian Television Awards and Best Leading Actress (on Online Platform) at the 12th Nataraja Awards for starring as Dao in the 2020 television series ''After Dark The Series''. She also played as Lookmai in '' Wake Up Ladies: Very Complicated'' (2020) and as Eve, whose business get cheated by Mim ( Ploynira Hiruntaveesin) in '' The Player'' (2021).

In 2022, she portrayed Cake, a makeup artist who involves in a scandal with 40-year-old top star Ton Naruebet (Nawat Kulrattanarak) in ''Oops! Mr. Superstar Hit on Me''. She also appeared in the anthology series ''Good Old Days'', in story 1: ''Bond and Relationship'' and in ''Club Sapan Fine Season 2''.

In 2023, she received warm reception for her leading role as White, one of Maki's ( Rachanun Mahawan) close friends at Home School who often helps their other schoolmates in the 2023 suspense-horror television series ''Home School'', along with Jirawat Sutivanichsak.

In 2024, she starred as Faye, a popular chemistry student who is known for her natural beauty, but is also desperate for attention that she manipulates her innocent persona to steal the spotlight in ''Beauty Newbie'', a Thai adaptation of a popular South Korean webtoon ''My ID Is Gangnam Beauty''.

After her contract with GMMTV expired in October 2024, Methika took on a leading role as Xiao Yu in the hit Netflix action comedy series ''Mad Unicorn'' (2025). She portrayed a sharp-witted, multilingual financier known for her beauty, talent, and fluency in both Thai and Chinese. During this time, she also appeared in various music videos.
