Jet planes may land only in case of stable dry weather. The
Khanskaya air base , which has a concrete runway, is about northwest of Maykop Airport and about east of Khanskaya.
Modern day
Maykop Airport is now in a dilapidated and ruined state. The interior is layered with rubble and graffiti making the floor practically invisible. The stairs to the 2nd floor appear to be on the brink of collapse and under the stairs is a lot of rubble almost enough to reach half way up making it hard to get to the 2nd floor. On the 2nd floor there are hallways with remnants of a wooden floor, some walls are complete whilst others are broken. one of the rooms appear to be a small cafeteria judging by its size. in a other room there used to be a entrance to the
