Alongside his professional activity, Pica Ciamarra has kept an active interest in architectural theory, particularly promoting a relational view of architecture, which above all values the interactions between the buildings and their natural, architectural and human context. For much of his life, from 1971 until 2007, he held a professorship in architectural design at the
