Martin Ridge (May 7, 1923 – September 22, 2003) was an American historian and director of research at the Huntington Library.Susan Wladaver-Morgan.

faculty. Ridge served at the Huntington Library until his retirement in 1993, and at Caltech until 1995. Ridge was editor of the '' Journal of American History'' (JAH) from 1966 to 1978. He was awarded a
