Population
At the time of the 2006 National Census, the population was 7,109 in 1,403 households, when it was the village of Madavan-e Olya in Sarrud-e Shomali Rural District.
The following census in 2011 counted 10,777 people in 2,428 households,
by which time the village had been elevated to city status as Madavan.
The 2016 census measured the population of the city as 18,078 people in 4,219 households.
