She is one of four ships built by

, Germany. ''Progress'' was the first new build to be completed; the last is expected to be launched in June 2012. ''Progress'' was launched on 19 August 2011 and was christened by Karen Donaldson, the Head of Finance at Seatruck. The ship was completed in November 2011 and was delivered to Seatruck in December. On 20 December 2011, ''Progress'' made her maiden voyage for Seatruck. In September 2012, ''Progress'' went on charter to DFDS before returning to service with Seatruck on the Liverpool - Dublin route. In September 2022, CLdN bought out
