Early life

Lucien Keith was one of ten children born to Sarah (née Blackwell) and Isham Keith. His uncle was Virginia chief justice James Keith. His grandfather, Isham Keith (1801–1863), served as a member of the

in 1843.


Career

Keith practiced law in

Personal life

Keith married Elizabeth Sharpless of

. She died in 1920. He died on March 16, 1933, aged 73, at his home in Woodburne, Fauquier County.
