In 1934, Longbranch was linked by ferry service with Steilacoom, Anderson and McNeil islands.Galentine, Elizabeth, and Anderson Island Historical Society, ''Anderson Island'', Arcadia Publishing (2006) The ferry continues in operation, but no longer connects to Longbranch.
