It flows primarily south through Hermansville, then along the western side of Nadeau Township, Michigan, Nadeau Township, passing briefly into Faithorn Township, Michigan, Faithorn Township, and continuing through the village of Daggett, Michigan, Daggett, Daggett Township, Michigan, Daggett Township, the city of Stephenson, Michigan, Stephenson, Stephenson Township, Michigan, Stephenson Township, and into Mellen Township, Michigan, Mellen Township, where it empties into the Menominee River at . Much of its course runs approximately parallel to U.S. Route 41 in Michigan, US 41.
