Ley Sander qualified in medicine in 1981 (Medico,
Universidade Federal do Parana, Curitiba, Brazil) and then completed medical and specialist training in neurology in London at
St Thomas Hospital and the UCLH National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery.
