. On 27 September 2019, Merlin and Global Zhongjun announced a Legoland Resort in Sichuan Province. The resort was scheduled to open in 2023, however, it was pushed back to its current date. The resort area covers 57 hectares, with a building area of 159,000 square metres spread over 10 themed areas. The estimated construction cost is CN¥3 billion (US$412 million).
