LawnStarter was founded in 2013 by Steve Corcoran, Jonas Weigert, and Ryan Farley in

By 2022, LawnStarter had expanded its reach nationally and was operating in more than 3,000 cities in more than 300 markets. In 2023, LawnStarter recorded its first annual profit. In 2024, LawnStarter added 198 markets and 440 cities and expanded lawn care and other outdoor services it offers to customers.


Platform

It is an online platform that allows to reserve lawn care and mowing services through a website or a mobile application. It also tracks weather and accordingly revises the schedule as needed. LawnStarter has been called an Uber for lawn services.
