Biography
Maria Eleonore was the second child of
William, Landgrave of Hesse-Rotenburg and his wife Countess Maria Anna of
Löwenstein-Wertheim-Rochefort. She was an older sister of
Ernest Leopold of Hesse-Rotenburg, future ruler of her native
