accepted two families in the order: * Elakatotrichaceae Hindák * Klebsormidiaceae K.D.Stewart & K.R.Mattox In 2024, Bierenbroodspot et al. emended Klebsormidiophyceae and Klebsormidiales, and described 2 new orders, namely Entransiales and Hormidiellales.
