Bouchet & Rocroi, 2005 gives Vetigastropoda simply as a clade, which not being paraphyletic, it also is, leaving taxonomic ranking to a future date. Other gastropod classifications, including those subsequent, have determined that the Vetigastropoda is a superorder.
