Kem Nunn grew up in Pomona and Northern California. He has written the novels ''Tapping the Source,'' ''Dogs of Winter'', ''Pomona Queen'', ''Unassigned Territory'', ''Tijuana Straits'', and ''Chance''. He received an MFA in creative writing from the
