He had also served as vice president of the People's Party of Jaén, and was the president of the People's Party of Úbeda from 1984 until 2009. Pizarro died of cancer on 7 November 2022, at age 77. His death was commemorated by Antonia Olivares, the mayor of Úbeda. Olivares, a member of the
