Burns faced Chris Sarro at BKFC 15 on December 11, 2020. He won his BKFC debut by second-round KO. Burns next faced Frank Tate in a BKFC heavyweight title eliminator at BKFC 17 on April 30, 2021. Burns lost by third-round technical knockout via doctor stoppage. Burns faced Sam Shewmaker at BKFC 21 on September 10, 2021. Burns won by first-round knockout. Burns faced Sam Shewmaker in a rematch on August 3, 2024 at BKFC 63. He won the fight by unanimous decision.
