Voted the Atlanta Braves “Most Outstanding Pitcher” in 1988 Jose retired May 1, 1995 after 16 years in professional baseball with parts of 5 seasons in the major leagues sporting a lifetime ERA of 2.99 ERA and a .273 batting average. From 2007 to 2022 Jose served as a Life Coach and mentor to the PGA’s Korn Ferry Tour Players, wives and caddies with the FCA Golf Ministry. He now serves with Links Players International An avid golfer, he has competed in many celebrity events around the country.
