History

JTF-51 was established to enable USARNORTH to quickly deploy a scalable, joint command post in response to requests for federal assistance from state or federal agencies following disasters or emergencies. The task force was first operationally tested in the mid-2000s, with its mission and structure evolving in response to major incidents such as
