"Love & Sophistication" was released as the first single of her debut album ''Phase'' on February 15, 2019. Wilson describes the song as a 60's or 70's R&B track. Wilson said to V magazines that she did not just want to write the song about a love relationship, but about an evolving relationship with sophistication involved in it as well. The music video to the song debuted on V magazines website on February 15, 2019, and features Wilson in a dark room singing to the song with French Captions. The song was produced by
