Jeon Yeo-been (; born Jeon Bo-young on July 26, 1989) is a South Korean actress. Jeon rose to prominence for her performance in the independent film '' After My Death'' (2018) which earned her the Actress of the Year Award at the 22nd Busan International Film Festival and the Independent Star Award at the 2017 Seoul Independent Film Festival. Jeon's career continued to rise after she starred in the television series '' Vincenzo'' (2021), the crime action film '' Night in Paradise'' (2021), and television series '' A Time Called You'' (2023).


Early life and education

Jeon originally had aspirations of becoming a doctor during her school days. However, after failing to gain admission to the university she wanted, she discovered her passion for movies. While watching ''

, Jeon worked as a staff member for musicals and theaters. In 2009, at the age of 21, she decided to pursue acting and participated in her college musical called 'Lunatic'. In the production, she portrayed a grandmother with dementia, an experience which she considers to be her debut work as an actress and holds significant meaning to her.
