Allen works in healthcare sales. From 2003 to 2005, he lived in

for work. From 2016 to 2017, he was head of sales for Nimble, before becoming a vice president for Honor from 2017 to 2022. From 2023 to 2024, he was head of sales for Pine Park Health, and in January 2024, began working for LUCA as a principal. Since 2021, Allen has served as vice chair for the board of directors of the Association for Creatine Deficiencies. He is also the founder of a healthcare company called 0718 Cares.


''Beast Games''

In 2024, Allen was a contestant on ''Beast Games'', a reality game show hosted by Jimmy "MrBeast" Donaldson. The show saw 1,000 contestants—the largest cast for a reality show—competing in various challenges for a $5 million cash prize, which was later doubled to $10 million. Allen, who was known throughout the show as "Player 831", won all the challenges and became the overall winner in the final episode. His prize of $10 million is the largest in entertainment history. After taxes, the take-home dollar amount was $5.03 million. Allen joined to raise money for research into creatine transporter deficiency, which his son suffers from.
