He signed the one-year contract on April 6. On February 17, 2022, Cabinda signed a two-year contract extension with the Lions through the 2023 season. He was placed on the reserve/ physically unable to perform list to start the season on August 23, 2022. He was activated on November 12. On October 7, 2023, Cabinda was placed on
