(TBL) announced the Jackals would join the rebranded league for the
2019 season. After one season, Jackals owner and general manager Kayla Crosby was named the director of team development for The Basketball League.
A May 2024 TBL playoff game between the Jackals and
Raleigh Firebirds was ended by referees and declared a forfeit victory for Raleigh after a fan threatened a Jamestown player, and that player was subsequently ejected.
The Jackals left TBL to play in the
Basketball Super League (BSL) beginning with the 2024–25 season.
