Geography
Jabal Aja is a granite mountain range about long and wide with an area of about . The mountains are criss-crossed by straight valleys that have developed along fault lines and have an altitude varying between . The mountain probably receives more rainfall than the surrounding area where Ha'il averages about . This falls mainly in winter, mostly from storms approaching from the southwest, and frost is not unusual.
