Salesforce was in advanced talks to acquire Informatica at a price below its $11 billion market capitalization at the time. The deal was eventually abandoned; however, just over a year later, in May 2025, Salesforce announced its intent to purchase Informatica for about $8 billion, subject to regulatory approval.
In May 2025, the Wall Street Journal reported that Salesforce will acquire Informatica for $8 billion or $25 per share.
