Preparations

The preparation of the inauguration was ensured by the Office of the President of the Republic headed by Vratislav Mynář, the Office of the Chamber of Deputies headed by Martin Plíšek and the team of President-elect Petr Pavel led by the future head of the Office of the President of the Republic Jana Vohralíková. The place of inauguration became the Vladislav Hall, in which all Czechoslovak and Czech inaugurations were held since 1934. Originally, the participation of foreign heads of state was intended, but in the end this idea was abandoned.
