Hirschthal () is a municipality in the district of Aarau of the canton of Aargau in Switzerland.

History

Hirschthal is first mentioned in 924 as ''Hyrztale''.

Geography

Hirschthal has an area, , of . Of this area, 34.1% is used for agricultural purposes, while 51.5% is forested. Of the rest of the land, 14.1% is settled (buildings or roads) and the remainder (0.3%) is non-productive (rivers or lakes).

The municipality is located in the Aarau district in the mid-Suhr valley.
