Hurst signed a three-year contract with the Panthers on March 15, 2023. On December 6, Hurst's father, Jerry Hurst, tweeted that Hurst was dealing with

Los Angeles Chargers

On March 15, 2024, Hurst signed with the Los Angeles Chargers. He appeared in nine games and had eight receptions for 73 yards in the 2024 season.
